Richard Lively
Hello. My name is Richard Lively and I practice law in Prattville, Alabama.
Mr. Lively is a life long resident of Autauga County, Alabama and a graduate of Autauga Academy. Mr. Lively recieved his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. While a student at the University, Mr. Lively was involved in many student activities in addition to his membership in the Phi Kappa Psi social fraternity. Upon his graduation from the University, Mr. Lively joined the District Staff of U.S. Congressman William L. Dickinson and became involved with the local chapter of the Republican Party. Mr. Lively attended law school locally at Jones Law School and went into private practice in 1995. Since entering private practice, Mr. Lively has handled a wide variety of cases, including Title VII employment discrimination cases, medical malpractice, challenges to the constitutionality of state statutes and capital punishment. Mr. Lively practices bankruptcy law, family law and domestic relations as well as personal injury, general litigation cases and criminal matters. In his 17 years of practice, Mr. Lively has represented clients in the State and Federal Courts of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Wyoming. In addition to his practice, Mr. Lively has been involved in his community, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Alabama YMCA Youth Legislature program, the Executive Committee of the Autauga County Republican Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Louise Smith Center. Mr. Lively has also volunteered with the Georgia Innocence Project (Alabama Initiative) and served as counsel for the Montgomery Association for Retarded Citizens. Mr. Lively is also an avid outdoorsman and tennis player. Mr. Lively captained two teams that won the Montgomery Area Men's League and competed in the State tournament in Mobile. Mr. Lively also enjoys astronomy and is expanding his understanding and ability in astrophotography.
